Karun III Dam has won the title of International Milestone High Concrete Dam.

The International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) and Chinese National Committee on Large Dams nominated Karun III Dam as an International Milestone High Concrete Dam.

Construction of Intake shafts of Karoon 3 dam was awarded to Boland Payeh Co. by Iran Water and Power Resources Development Company (IWPC) through a C contract. This project was successfully completed on time in 2004 by Boland Payeh Co.
