Project Overview
Construction of Concrete Cooling Towers of Arak Power Plant was awarded to Boland Payeh Co. This project consists of construction works of 4 cooling towers, switchyard and pump stations. each cooling tower has a capacity of 325 MW and has a height and diameters of respectively 130 and 110 meters.
In order to increase speed and accuracy and reduce the cost, slip forming method was used. To complete this project, more than 52,000 cubic meters of concrete and 10,000 tons of reinforcement rebar is placed and 500,000 cubic meters of earthwork and 244,000 square meters of formwork performed.
Arak power plant was constructed to help generate Iran’s required electricity for its rapidly growing population and economy.
